Yesterday Patrick interviewed with Golden Skate’s Ted Flett about his upcoming season. It just happened to coincide with the unveiling of the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympic medals, too. Patrick spoke of his interpretation of the song “Dust in the Wind” and how it will help him keep perspective during this crazy year.

 

September 21: Winter Olympics Medals Revealed

The ISU revealed all the medals for the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics. Nice! Below is the gold medal:

Hopefully these medals will last longer than the ones from Sochi. Look at the condition of Patrick’s silver medal:

Patrick Chan Summer News Update, August 22, 2017

Although skating season has not yet officially started, last weekend I was pleasantly surprised to see Patrick’s new Olympic programs unveiled at a competition for the very first time! Although these were early versions seen from a fan cam, “Dust in the Wind” and “Hallelujah” have already elicited tears and smiles, leaving skating fans yearning for more.

 

Upcoming: Skate Canada High Performance Camp!

Next up – High Performance Camp (HPC)! Patrick may be there already, as he’s been keeping a low profile this summer, but Skate Canada promised to let us know. Read my post about last year’s HPC here!

 

August 24: Nebelhorn Trophy

Update 9/2017: Patrick withdrew from the competition!

So Patrick will be going to Germany. The German skating fans are in for a treat!

“I want to enjoy the summer while I have it.” ~Patrick Chan

This sums up perfectly Patrick’s attitude toward these precious summer months that will fly by until autumn comes again. From training and preparing his new programs to sparkling wine, throwing the first pitch, playing golf, wakesurfing, selling his car, and doing ice stunts, Patrick has his hands full of fun (and a mix of frustration, anxiety, stress, and happiness too)!
